Unplug and see if it then boots up.

I give up. I had ordered a new receiver an Octagon SF 8008. I have good experience with them.

No, it does suggest the main board was - also - damaged, which would be difficult to identify and fix for the cost of a more modern receiver.

Did your 4008 have an internal hard drive installed ?

No. I used only external HDD.

OK. I would have suggested to remove the internal connections in the next message, but you could try to access the content on another device in case that has also been caught/damaged in the discharge.
