Opening NTV-Plus HD Card with DM8000 HD using Newcs Server

I'm new and I would really love your help.

I just got the new ntv-plus HD card and I am trying to make it work on a DM 8000 HD using newcs server and it doesn't work.

I already have the ci module, tried it out and nothing. I did called them to Russia and they said the module doesn't match with the zerial number of the dreambox.

Is it because I'm using Newcs server? What to do?

HELP!!!

Are these new cards known to work with Newcs? Many cards these days only work in the appropriate set top boxes.

Yes, it is a new card. In order to have it you must be a russian citizen with russian passport and address.

I managed to get it, and I need to open it to make it work.

Any suggestions?

Newcs can read the card but it doesn't start it.

Would you advice to try Oscam?

OSCam is updated several times a day so would be a much better emu to try. Newcs hasn't been updated in years.

It all depends on what encryption is in use by NTV as to what emu may activate the card.

OK after having a look it appears that it uses Viaacess 5.0 so oscam should be ok. The only issue you may have is if the card needs an AESKey like the TNTSat and Fransat cards do.

That could be the only stumbling block. You will also need to know what config to use as OSCam is not plug and play like cccam or newcs. You have to tell oscam what to do with the card before it can read it.

Google will be your best bet to find out the config. As i do not have access to an NTV card i have no idea what settings to use with it.

Yes, true. I can set up OSCam in order to read the card, but if it has an AESKey then what to do?

How can I find the AESKey of this specific card? Do you know?

Or can I use a card reader to read the card, but how exactly I'm not sure.

To be honest if its uses an AESKey the only way to find it is to look for it using google. Chances are it doesn't use an AESKey if its a known config you have is known to work.

To be honest the best way to activate any card is by using the appropriate CI Cam. CCCam 2.3.0 used to activate most viaccess cards so i would give that a go first if you don't have access to a viaccess cam

I will try CCCam 2.3.0 to test if it activates the card.

If you have the original module use that, don't bother with an emu. Use the module in a non linux based box as certain CI modules are known not to work with Enigma 2.

No point in trying to activate the card with an emu if you have the original CI module.

Yes, it is like that. But I need a emulator to share the channels.

I can find a non linux based box to activate the card, I can borrow one.

I rather suspect you are going to find you cant share this card. At least not without an awful lot of hassle

Anyway we wont give you any help with that part of the project apart from in the most general way - our policy is that if anyone wants to watch a particular set of channels then they buy a legitimate subscription for those channels..

However what you need to do is

1) get it working in the ci module - then you know that the card is active & that part is sorted.

Then & only then start playing around with softcams. Manic has given you some tips to start with.

Of course it's legitimate to have the channels in both of the rooms in my house. I won't be sharing the card channels outside my house!!!!!

I have 2 dreambox, one in the living room and one in the bedroom and I would like to have the channels in both rooms. That is the reason I am asking in the first place.
