I encountered a problem when watching video (mp4) using the default program. This is on an external USB drive.

When I try to exit the programm that is playing, I get a grade out exercise in the top right corner. I have tried power cycling device but it always starts in the mediaplayer app. This is a plugin, but I don't know what it was called.

As a result I am I'm able to use the receiver for anything other then watching that MP4s.

Other than flashing a new image, is there another way to exit the app.

Finally I did.

But I need a better programme to view the files. The current programme let's me delete media, which is a disatser. My children will end up pressing Delete because it's a red button and there goes a Tb of MP4.

You could try and make the files read only on the disk....all E2 video players will let you delete the files.

Good idea.

I never tried this on fat32. The attributes do not map properly. fstattr can help, but will see if it's available on Linux E2.

Or mount disc read only.

is Linux E2 using automount for the external media? If not then what?
