Has anyone managed to get a Tring card working with Oscam in the internal card reader of a DM7000 or DM7020 ?.
Although the card seems to be detected I get the message 'card system not supported' then some stuff about reverting to Deprecated Mode and further messages about the card's clock frequency. Am I just wasting my time ?. Any help either way would be appreciated.

@nanochicken - thanks for the pm. I'll dig around a bit further.

It works fine with Oscam and updates the card also, if you need help with the configs then tell use what version Oscam you are using and share and example of your configs.

Thanks for the inspiration folks - I seem to have got it working by removing some extraneous options from the config file. It's amazing what a bit of late night hacking can achieve when you put your mind to it .

Just for info - card works OK in tandem with a S*y freesat card in my DM7000 but I can't get the DM7020 to read the Tring card at all - using working config files copied over from the DM7000 and amended for i/p and port differences. The card runs fine under newcs on the 7020. I'm using FlashWizard on USB sticks on both boxes. My favoured image is EDG-Nemesis 4.4 on both boxes. The flash image on the 7020 has never been changed while the 7000 is running EDG Perfect Flash. Could this be the reason for the different behaviour between the boxes ?.

This could indeed be the issue, I have no idea how old the flash image is in the 7020 but in the early years there were some major updates and drivers for the card readers may well have been one of them.

Thanks for the quick response. It looks like I shall have to upgrade the flash image - either via FlashWizard or the serial cable. Naively I had assumed at one point that each multiboot image was totally self-contained wrt to all software but it seems that the multiple images share a common core of drivers in the flash. The only 7020 firmware available for download on DMM's site is v1 from September 2005. I assume that this is the one I am running with now.

As your box is an original I would add the EDG image to flash and leave it blank, then use FW to add the same image in multiboot.

Quick way to flash the 7020 is via the browser as it takes a few minutes if that.

Here is the info.

@sonic1: Thanks for the advice. I'll give this a go with the EDG-Nemesis 4.4 image I'm already running from the USB stick.
