Ive dicoverd my 5/9/10E dish has succumbed to the week of gales & is currently pointing skywards

Not sure when it will get fixed as the days are still very short up here & the forecast for the weekend is for strong winds & a wind chill od well sub zero

Winds not been as bad down her, but still had several calls to fix broken aerial masts, where they've snapped just above the bracket, plus one yesterday where the mast was still there, but the aerial was nowhere to be seen and the customer hadn't noticed.

We had a rude awakening last week, having just had our dorma roof replaced by a roofer, with 48 hours it was attacked by a flying lump of green roofing felt. It made one hell of a noise when it landed on our flat roof. We had a look round and narrowed it down to either off our next door neighbour's shed or from a house nearby who lost their flat roof completely

In August last year we moved to an area close to Flers (ORNE). It turns out to be one of the wettest and windiest spots in Normandy.

On the plus side, we have a heated indoor swimming pool... and no, it isn't the septic tank.

Yes, luckily we'd just had it cleaned prior to taking the photo. If not it does make practicing the butterfly stroke rather hit or miss....(alternate spellings are available).
