Good Evening, i have decided to get my 1.8 dish out to try and find some live feeds. not played with it for years. Last time i used it was for live horse racing feed on a quali-tv receiver 4.22. Now i am using a technomate and do not pick any signals from feeds in 8psk on 10 w. i presume my equipment is past it sale by date. what lnb / receiver do i need to pick theses feeds up please. I was hoping tp find live football feeds

If you are hoping for Premiership feeds forget it - they are mainly fed via fibre these days......

If you want free football though swing your dish round to 52.5E TurkmenAlem. There are 2 or 3 channels on there that have a load of free football on from numerous leagues..

8psk needs more signal so you probably need a bigger dish. Plus feeds tend to be transmitted at lower power than the broadcast channels.

If that reports come from Satelliteweb note that the user "stanley cassidy" (which we believe is actually multiple users using the same account) often only posts the details after the feed has finished......

Yeh dont rely on Satelliweb, Half the reports on that aren't actually from the same day, or even week!

You did not mentioned which Technomate you are using.
But I believe that 8PSK is not the main issue, because all TM in the last 15 years can receive this type of modulation.
As mentioned above, you need a very good signal to lock DVB-S2/8PSK feeds, but probably your 1.8m dish is enough to get 7E and 10E satellites? Where are you located?
Are you sure that your dish is perfectly aligned?
Also, do you lock any signal on these satellites? If so, how strong are they?

The signal from both 7e an 10 e are very strong, i have motorised dish that was used originally for inclined satellites so it is easy to tweak either way. The receiver is a Technomate tm-5402 hd m3, I live on south coast of England. The feed i put on was listed 40 min before the game kicked off today

The 5402 (all versions) perfectly get DVB-S2/8PSK transponders. And the dish seems ok.
Do you lock the signal and have black screen? Or have you no lock?
For example, move your dish at 7E and try these 3 frequencies:
11044H 4937
11050H 4937
11056H 4937
These transponders are always on, and if your dish is aligned you must lock all of them.
Probably you have black screen once locked, but this is a different story.
They are all BISS encrypted, and you can't watch them without specific tweaks.

find 7e strong, but maybe its the symbol rate as i do not find what you suggested, 5 figure seem fine but never find nothing with 4 figure symbol rate, could that be the problem ?

No I don't think so. But it sounds very strange. How can you get very strong signals at 7E without locking the frequencies I suggested?
I do not remember if the 5402 has blind scan. If so, try to blind scan between 10950 and 11200 in both polarities, and tell us if you find something.
Also, which transponders you locked at 7E? Are you sure that your dish is really pointing at 7E?

Your lnb may be on the way out. Low symbol rates sometimes get tricky to lock if the lnb isnt completely stable.

Oh ignore the quality reading on your receiver. The only one you are interested in is the signal strength reading. (You will get a quality indication even if you point the dish at the floor!)
