OK this is positive as at least now they are on the right frequencies. I'll post some more instructions in a minute.

This time I think you should try a manual search and see if we can tune in the French radio stations.

1. In the menu select Manual Search.

2. Select the same Astra 1 satellite name you used last time.

3. In the Transponder section (press OK to bring up a list) you need to look for and select Frequency 11568 or 11.568

4. Once you've selected this transponder you need to make sure these settings are correct and update them if necessary:

Frequency: 11568
Symbol Rate: 22000
Polarization: Vertical
Search Type: All
NIT Search: Off

5. When you have made all your settings press the Blue Function Key to start the channel search.

OK I could not find 11568 in the list only 11567 so instead I corrected it manually along with thesymbol rate. So all the settings were as instructed and pressed start but it found no channels whatsoever...

11567 is fine. What was the Signal and Quality readings on this frequency? You should see it at the bottom as you are looking at the settings.

It was just number 50 on your receiver's list, which is fine.

Also make sure you are using the same satellite as before, the one we edited earlier with the new LNB settings.

These are my settings for the manual search

Satellite name Astra 1E
Transponder 50
Frequency 11568
Symbol Rate 22000
Polarization Ver
Search type All
NIT search OFf

I tell you this because at some point I decided to delete all my stations as there were 1000? tv stations but when I ran the search again I got no stations for TV or radio. I am not sure what I have done wrong...

Do you see any signal or quality % readings as you look at the above info?

Hmm, that is the problem, there is no signal on those radio stations for whatever reason. I still suspect there is a problem with the LNB on your dish.

Does that mean that if I wish to cure the problem I have to get the man out to change the dish? I cannot remember whether the dish was here when we bought the house in which case it would have been a sky dish and the man would have realigned it for my purposes or whether the man supplied the dish.

Anyway for the moment I have no stations at all radio or TV so please remind me how do I get them back?

I'm afraid I think it does sound like there is a hardware problem somewhere. The dish should be fine but the LNB (the electrical bit sticking out on the arm) might be faulty. It could also be the receiver, but unlikely I think. If you have someone locally you could borrow a receiver from you could test it on your dish and eliminate that as the problem if it works.

Go back to post #117 and you should be able to scan in a few that still work:

Turn it off and scan 11568 once more (For now, revert to standard Universal settings and Blind Scan)

Turn it on and report back.
