I do not know. I, personally, would use 18-incher for 1.2m CM.

Hi @manikm909

I started with two coats of matte white primer.
After that I would pass two coats of matt white paint.

Here the back of the antennas before the primer

with the paint it will be difficult to find the markings for the adjustment.
I advise you to buy an inclinometer.

I wouldn't bother with the sticker on the bolt - a digital inclinometer like zorrin posted makes setting elevation very easy, as well as for getting the pole plumb.

Yes the pole plumb is very important.

With the moteck H180 motor the clue is in the name.
In theory it should provide a 180 degree arc or somewhere close to that. It will cover more arc than a general polar mount with actuator.

Any outdoor paint will be OK as long as it is not the metallic type.
I seem to remember spray cans of non metallic car paint being used by forum members in the past?

With the polar mounts I have used the actuator has been fitted on the left side of the assembly if standing at the rear of the dish, ie, the East side if in the northern hemisphere.
The actuator extends to push the dish westward and retracts to pull the dish eastward.
An actuator fitted for up/down movement is generally referred to an an inclined orbit actuator.

With the moteck H180 setup, although it does not use an actuator for East/West movement there is an easy modification to fit an inclined orbit actuator.
Removal of the elevation bolt and replacement with a small actuator adds inclined orbit tracking to the E/W motorisation.

I have attached below a picture of a moteck H180 motor fitted with an inclined orbit actuator that I setup for a client.
The moteck H180 in the atached picture is fitted with the Channel Master plate that is usually shipped with it, the CM 1.2m dish bolts directly onto this plate.

Lots on Amazon, eBay etc., but do read the reviews as some seem quite poor ( from the comments!).

it came with the motor - it was off a 90cm CM - got the dish and the motor for peanuts.
u have to constantly search ebay or set alerts up.
as for the plate, its just a bit of metal with 4 holes in for dish, and 4 right angled lugs for motor attachment
u can forget new stuff mate in the 36v world.
:)

I have already said in a PM to you that you can forget getting a plate new, as Manik has already said, any 36v motorised accessories are not made anymore, so you will need to search Ebay as I also already told you!!

Not really, I told you to stop DM'ing me for advice yet you carried on sending DM's.
I am happy to add a member of the admin or mods team to the DM conversation to substantiate this fact.

My reply above is not rude, it is a plain speaking reply informing you of the status.
It seems that you are also bothering other forum members by DM asking for advice?

As regards your question about the Moteck H180 motor with inclined orbit tracking for a 1.2m CM dish.
I bought the Moteck H180 motor from one of the online retailers. I used a LINAK optical actuator for inclined orbit tracking that came from a batch I bought as end of line stock.

Aye, good idea.

Local pub round 'ere got world experts on every topic you could think of, they get more expert deeper into the sesh you go.
You can see them sneaking off for a pretend "tom tit" ready to google the bitch outta their mobile phone in the Khazi, returning to the bar as the font of knowledge.
