my goodmans 206NS television is playing up and i would like to know if anyone has any suggestions on how to repair it. It did work fine until it got turned off by the main switch then when it is turned back on it the light comes on but it won't turn on it just stays in standby mode. Then when it does turn on again it works fine as long as it is only turned off by the remote control.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

If it does come on eventually its likely to be a dried up capacitor somewhere in the power supply

If it only comes on after you thump it, its likely to be a small break in the circuit, a dry joint.

I am a Cornishman myself ,Mitsi are prone to dry joints on chopper transformer, the tuner has a tendency to fail, and they have frame problems. with caps spilling out all over the board
Depending on where you are located in Cornwall I may be able to suggest someone who can supply you the parts
