A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Not that I have a BluRay anything, but have the manufacturers moved the bar in any direction on how well the modern format performs under normal duress (dropping/leaving the DVD out of the cover/teenagers/dog chewing etc.) ?

No satellite gear here, but at my parents' house there is:
Konig 35cm camping dish (horrible, too small)
80cm Silvercrest (lidl)on 13E and 19.2E and a Technomate 5300D+ USB Super.

It's not as durable as DVD... Or at least that's my experience...

Thanks

The additional amount of data squeezed into the same disc space may have something to do with it, but it is a shame the lessons haven't been learnt from the days of the first CDs.
