I understand your problems with DVB Dream. I currently use SmartDVB64 without issue just had to install LAV Filters to get all codecs working.

"DVB Dream" is becoming more like "DVB Nightmare" the longer that I try to play with it:-doh
You might get this impression if you've never worked with a dvb player before. But I assure you it is not so.
Here's what you need to do with DVB Dream after installing the 6903 card.
I use a licensed version, which allows me to use more functions of the player.
Watch carefully the videos in the link: DVB Dream.zip

@Joolz - many thanks and I'll take a look tomorrow

Edited - PS: with which receiver are you using it, and does it by any chance work with Crazyscan?

Many thanks and I'll also take a look at that tomorrow.

BTW, I'm not a complete newbie with DVB player-type s/w because I used ProgDVB Pro a fair bit, and also DVB Viewer Pro to an extent, for several years and so I became reasonably familar with the basic stuff (and it all pretty much "worked"). However, for various reasons, I didn't then use either of them again for about 3 yrs until the very recent arrival of first the 6902 and now the 6903 tuner cards.

Frankly, my opinion is that, if one is paying a reasonable amount for s/w, then there should also be a reasonable amount in the way of on-line instructions/info & "reactive" support provided by the developers / suppliers (there is "some" of both for both ProgDVB & DVB Viewer, but SFA for DVB Dream!) , and thus one should not have to rely on "googling", or the "goodwill" of other knowledgeable people such as yourself, to find solutions and/or work-arounds to problems that are encountered!

I do not want to defend the developers of dvb players, but, after using many such applications,I realized that they let users learn how to use them more intuitively. In fact all these players do the same thing and work according to the same rules, even if the interface of each is different. That's not because you paid or not for the player you bought, although up to a point the claim is justified.
You may not agree with me, but I would see the good side of this unpleasant situation, namely, that looking on the internet how to use an application,we can find out a lot of things that I had not known until then.Anyway,by the force of things, that is,by the new technologies integrated in the applications that we use,we are put,in many cases,to search with google or appeal to the help of the well-wishers on the forums.
Probably if you didn't ask for advice for a new dvb card, you'd probably have chosen something else that couldn't please you.I hope the 6903 card will be the one to please you when you want to receive a specific program,at least for a long time. And I assure you that your choice is the best.
The only reservation I have,is when, like the one who has the best performing devices, but does not know how to use them, and then complains that it is too complicated or other motive.I known such people who had sophisticated devices but could not use the potentialities with which they were endowed. In other words, these devices and the applications they are smarter than their users. And why not say there are situations when I'm among them :unsure

@ Jeallen01 I use the TBS 5980 which is an older USB unit that works great with all software including Crazyscan and IQMonitor (However if DVB Dream is getting to you I would only attempt working with IQMonitor on a "calm day" but it is well woth the effort)

Yes, with CI, though to say it is older is doing the product a disservice since they were around in 2015, less than a year before the 6902 was released.

Now got around to having another "play around" with the "Trial" version of DVB Dream - and it's proving to be another "trial by fire".

Decided to uninstall and reinstall it, and then start totally from scratch and using it to drive the motorized Bibby, meaning I had to recreate the sat channel lists

And current assessment is that this s/w is some of the flakiest I've come across in years - lost count of how many times it crashed and had to be restarted when simply trying to delete transponders in the "ancient" lists that come by default and are very out-of-date - and then it crashed completely and utterly whilst doing a scan of 45/46E, and caused the PC (HP Z230, iCore 7, 16GB RAM & SSD running Win 10 Pro!) to reboot! :-wow.

Don't know how anyone would have the "gaul" to try to charge $49 for the full version if it's anywhere near as bad as this Trial one

Possibly thus - OTOH, as you said, the "perfect one" doesn't seem to exist!:D

OTOH 2 - my post #67 was about the "DVD (Dream!) Nightmare" s/w - hopefully with "better" s/w "things will be better" in the future. :)
