Hi,
I’m experimenting with decoding DAB/DAB+ multiplexes distributed by satellite using WSL/Ubuntu, eti-tools and DABlin
I already have a satellite dish aligned to Eutelsat 5°W, and my TCL television can detect the DAB_M1_M2 satellite service. However, the TV cannot actually decode or expose the DAB multiplex data in a form that I can use with eti-tools/DABlin.
So I’m looking for someone in the satellite-DX community who may be willing to provide authorised remote access to a suitable DVB-S2 receiver/tuner, ideally covering either or both of these positions:
5°W – Eutelsat 5 West B
- 11461 H
- SR 5780
- DVB-S2/QPSK
- PID 301
- Métropolitain 1: 239.0.1.11:5001
- Métropolitain 2: 239.0.1.12:5002
I can receive 5°W at home already, but at present my only satellite receiver is the tuner built into my TV, which does not provide access to the underlying transport/data stream.
9°E – Eutelsat 9B
- 11727 V
- SR 30000
- DVB-S2/8PSK
- DAB Italia
- EuroDAB Italia
I do not currently have a dish aligned to 9°E, so remote access to that position would be particularly useful.
I am not looking for unrestricted control of anyone’s receiver. A restricted transport-stream feed, SAT>IP stream, Enigma2/OpenWebif stream, HTTP stream, VPN-accessible tuner, or similar read-only arrangement would be absolutely fine.
Even temporary or occasional access would be useful. This is purely a non-commercial DX/technical experiment to learn more about satellite-delivered DAB and to decode/listen to the French and Italian national multiplexes.
If anyone already has a receiver covering 5°W and/or 9°E and would be willing to help, please send me a message.
Thanks,
Alistair
