Satellite DAB mux feed to ODR tools

I've manage to connect from client to server, dablin_gtk opens but with nothing to play.
I streamed only PID 269 from TS Analyzer PID's list, witch is selected in attached image, because this PID contains ES PID 1062 used in command line.
Is that correct or do I need to select something else to stream for dablin to open and demodulate audio ?
@andimik @EnoSat
Thank you !

You have to select the ES PID containing the DAB Mux. Because not all transponder even habe a service entry.

On 5 W, Metropolitain, what should I select to stream for DAB only ?
If I select ES PID 301 it will stream also audio form normal satellite radios on that tp.

You always should stream the PID which is listed in the link I have already posted twice.

Are you sure? If you only select 301 you will stream 301 only.

Yes, 301 selected from left part of TS Analyzer called SI Tree Entries.

Why don't you select 301 on the right side?

I will try when I wil move again to 5W.

Now, on 10E, I'm not able to get rid of "02/24/25 15:54:27] EDI: Unknown TAG stat" sent at very second on console.
I've tried with "/dev/null" but nothing happened.
Any advice ?

you can avoid this by redirecting the output to the null device.

2> /dev/null

Work's thank you!

ERROR Could not set priority for modulator:1
ERROR Could not set priority for SDR device thread:1

Any advice about resolving the above errors ?

I fear you love asking questions instead of searching for the answer.

:)) Your fear is not applyed.
If I had found the answer, I would not have asked here.

FYI: I saw some discussions on google but nothing specific with examples.

Hi,

I’m experimenting with decoding DAB/DAB+ multiplexes distributed by satellite using WSL/Ubuntu, eti-tools and DABlin
I already have a satellite dish aligned to Eutelsat 5°W, and my TCL television can detect the DAB_M1_M2 satellite service. However, the TV cannot actually decode or expose the DAB multiplex data in a form that I can use with eti-tools/DABlin.

So I’m looking for someone in the satellite-DX community who may be willing to provide authorised remote access to a suitable DVB-S2 receiver/tuner, ideally covering either or both of these positions:

5°W – Eutelsat 5 West B
  • 11461 H
  • SR 5780
  • DVB-S2/QPSK
  • PID 301
  • Métropolitain 1: 239.0.1.11:5001
  • Métropolitain 2: 239.0.1.12:5002
I can receive 5°W at home already, but at present my only satellite receiver is the tuner built into my TV, which does not provide access to the underlying transport/data stream.

9°E – Eutelsat 9B
  • 11727 V
  • SR 30000
  • DVB-S2/8PSK
  • DAB Italia
  • EuroDAB Italia
I do not currently have a dish aligned to 9°E, so remote access to that position would be particularly useful.

I am not looking for unrestricted control of anyone’s receiver. A restricted transport-stream feed, SAT>IP stream, Enigma2/OpenWebif stream, HTTP stream, VPN-accessible tuner, or similar read-only arrangement would be absolutely fine.

Even temporary or occasional access would be useful. This is purely a non-commercial DX/technical experiment to learn more about satellite-delivered DAB and to decode/listen to the French and Italian national multiplexes.

If anyone already has a receiver covering 5°W and/or 9°E and would be willing to help, please send me a message.

Thanks,
Alistair

Honestly, considering you have the dish already, I'd recommend getting yourself a cheap Engima2 receiver - you could pick up something like a Zgemma H2S for £15-£20 or so off eBay (e.g. item number 168613158137).

I could probably provide you with access to 9°E for testing on a temporary basis.
