Have you tried Navi-x on it yet Llew? There's a version specially for the Pi.

Couldn't you just stream your TBS cards output over the LAN?
Hmm... Hadn't considered doing that. Worth a try maybe.

Tut tut, won't show MPEG2. Need to buy an MPEG2 licence from RPi Foundation - £2.80. Cheek. Sent off for one, expect it'll come the other side of Xmas now.

I've downloaded the Navi-x zip file Rolf, not sure how to add it to XBMC yet.

OK now, needed to have the file in a folder to add it, not as a standalone zip file. Looks the bees knees, plenty of choice, old and new. Thanks for the pointer.

No probs Llew, I've found it very "useful". :) Also, wasn't aware that when an item is highlighted, by clicking on menu, it can be downloaded, much better than streaming. Happy Christmas by the way. :)

That looks to be a useful extra Rolf. Was watching Charlie Brown's Christmas last night, hadn't seen that for years - great music by jazz pianist Vince Guaraldi.

I've got a 16Gb USB stick which I can record to, so thinking about putting the Pi in a box as a self-contained PVR unit, then get another Pi for playing with.

Happy Xmas to you too and all of our Staff and members.

I've now received the licence key for enabling MPEG2 in OpenElec's XBMC. Playing an MPEG2 stream via my main PC is showing some stuttering, which I assume is down the RPi's CPU not being up to speed. Will try overclocking it a little, also putting the MPEG file on a USB stick on the RPi and running it directly from there to see if that makes any difference.

I've been following the PI for a year, just bit the bullet and ordered one cased from Farnell.

I was actually quiet surprised to see XBMC doesn't have a decent Full RSS reader, so I guess I'll just find one for Debian.

My Raspberry Pi became Raspberry Crumble today. I got so infuriated with it and it's constant refusal to work right, that I took it out to the garage and pulverised it with a hammer.
After wasting so many hours and only going backwards, it had to stop, so now I can get back to the real world - it was very cathartic.
