Seriously, having that problem here with a very old, raised shed existing in the garden, I took the trouble to lay a floor of concrete for my replacement shed thirty-odd years ago, to allay any such problems.

If you decide to put a shed close to the lowered fence, maybe you could have a window facing next door with a suitable tasteful image on a roller blind?

I have 3 outdoor sheds 2 x 6 x 3 + a cupboard shed for mower & garden furniture cushions ect + 2 inbuilt cupboard sheds,
A friend of mine has built a workshop shed at the bottom of his garden 40 feet x 40 feet

i get the odd rat passing through as i back on to a river i dont feed the birds so no reason for them to stay, the inch battens sit on slabs so not much room under the shed. no dishes inside the sheds, there all behind them

Just been looking at sheds, would a few slabs on the grass be good enough for the base of the shed?

As I have seen they need to be on a base.

Slabs are good, just make sure the ground is not loose, as the slabs may sink once you put enough (dishes) in the shed, and provide an "uneven" experience...
I know this is perhaps in a slightly different category, but I had the garden people put in the full gravel-sand-slab base for my shed (which should perhaps rightly be termed outhouse). To get some ventilation underneath the shed, I put a range of slabs out. Substitute lawn for patio, and you get the idea.

As for rats and mice as mentioned elsewhere, the underneath of the outhouse is made of fibre-cement plates to avoid rot and ingress of unwanted guests.
