The only music I don't listen to is this shit that sounds like a car alarm!

Otherwise just about anything, I have a thing for patsy cline,

If I hear an auto tune singer/band I tend to turn off.

I like real musicians :-beatles
cool, me too, i like Muse, Bowie,
Pink Floyd, in fact loaaads of stuff, lots of modern stuff to though, like Lukas graham, Paloma faith etc,but yes all "real" music :)

I have a Sony AV receiver STR-DB940, powering two wharfedale loudspeakers.
One evening there was a loud noise coming from the LS that nearly blew my eardrums.
The receiver had a problem that I couldn't fix myself, and as all modern receivers have recently switched to HDMI inputs, I didn't want to spend any money fixing it.
These days money is more important to me to spend on self maintenance than spending it on gadgets and therefore I will not buy a new AV receiver with 6 HDMI inputs that I really need.
Surprisingly I am actually content to just listen to the audio coming from the TV built in loudspeakers at maybe 1 watt.

What is the cheapest good quality AV gadget with one digital audio input to connect to my LCD TV digital output and with loudspeaker output connectors? Power can be as low as maybe 10W
I don't want any loudspeakers, but I found only expensive sound bars.
Apparently they don't make low power amplifiers anymore.

Take a look at Yamaha sound bars, your only option I feel.

Something like this?
Code:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/TOPPING-VX2-Digital-Amplifier-Speaker-black/dp/B017LMP3E2/
You might get away even cheaper if you buy a separate dac and amp.

If someone is looking for a portable, battery-powered bluetooth speaker, checkout JBL Extreme.
Yuuge sound for its size as long as you don't crank up the volume too much.

Thanks. This exactly what am looking for. They don't ship to my location, unfortunately but I will try to contact the manufacturer and see if they can sell me one unit.

If you have it connected to a tv, shouldn't you want one equipped with a remote?
Code:
http://www.shenzhenaudio.com/fx-audio-d802-80w-2-192khz-coaxial-optical-usb-class-d-digital-power-amplifier-remote-control.html

Or just buy a cheap Yamaha or Sony surround amp with hdmi arc and control volume with the tv remote.

Thanks again. I forgot about the remote.
My budget is about $50 but can stretch it to $80.
I still have the option of fixing the Sony AV STR-940, but I don't know how much this would cost me and it is difficult to know if they fix it alright, as the problem can occur at random.
I have another mini system with remote, but only RCA inputs.
The advantage of what you showed me already, is the size of the gadget, which is a big advantage to me.

I have a Panasonic SC-CH51 Stereo System with remote, consisting of two units plus a pair of loudspeakers.
One unit has the audio amplifier and a dual tape deck, the second unit has FM/AM tuner and a CD player.
There is a special cable that connects the two units.
As I don't have much space, I decided to try only the first unit which has an analogue Auxiliary input White and Red RCA connectors.
The LCD TV has phono/audio connector at the back that monitors anything that is playing. Connected an audio cable between the TV and amplifier, connected the wharfedale loudspeakers to the speakers output, switched on and the sound quality was quite good playing a CD or any satellite channel..
This is what I will use in the meantime, until I decide what to buy next, with audio digital input of course,
The power consumption is 140W for the whole system, which is a lot less than the Sony AV STR-940 rated 290W.
I doubt if I will use more that 10W music power maximum and therefore the actual power consumption is going to be less than 100W I hope.
