does anyone have the m3 model i've seen about, could do with getting one of these as the dr hd f15 seems sold out.

yes i have the m 3 -- but i,m only using it in a very limited way so far ----- i use it as blind search tool --- its connected to one side of a twin output l.n.b -- on the 1.2 channel master dish.
but i don,t use the m3 to move the dish , its moved by an old Technomate 5500 DAPCI (36v output)
the m3 is the smallest reciever i,v ever seen -- its powered by one of those 2 pin plug in mains transfomers output12 v ---

Always use laptop cooling fans with any stb that I have heat issues with.

One quick question - does the composite (yellow) video work - with no scart on the box I would need that to connect it to the rf modulator I use in my distro system.

No tvs at all with hdmi here - even component is too new for out kit

I would swap one of the numerous spare SD only rx's but thats no good for looking at the S2 52.5E stuff.

The composite is fine on the M3 -- i have it connected to an old panasonic tv
as well as hdmi to a samsung 32 in -- it displays on both ok at the same time --

Are there clones of the skybox f3/m3 because looking on the auction place they seem very cheap and there is some with included gift which i will stay away from.

Not quite sure about clones but these units are priced just right- bang for the buck.

What are you trying to access that needs a password?

If you received a "free gift" that allows you to watch scrambled channels and you need a password for this, then this is card sharing and discussion of this is strictly forbidden here.

I have the same two cards and CAM combo running on my TM5402 HD works flawlessly, I also stick a $ky italia card in the card slot from time to time, CCcam is also spot on performance wise.

The composite Yellow works ok. I use that to Feed a RF modulator to put the video around the house . I think you will be pleasantly surprised by this receiver and I love the blind scan which is sensitive and fast.

Good job you didn't go for the M3 then - scarcely bigger than a fag packet.

Well Ive got it set up for 53/52.5E and its currently scanning 42E.

The blind scan missed the Uzbek tp completely so Ive had to put that one in manually.

Sensitivity - too soon to tell, although the "signal meters" are showing lower than the old secondhand GDS 7000 its replaced.

Pic quality is better - Uzbek tv was very "muddy" on the GDS, thats sharpened up quite a bit.

The remote is remarkably insensitive to button presses - it sometimes needs a really hard press to get it to do anything.....

Oh and in a sad reflection of what these boxes are often used for 28E was already set up with the Sky Sports HD channels on the first set of channels. Think those can be deleted pronto!

Surprised at your comment about the Telecommander - perfectly "normal" here: Maybe some less than pristine batteries?

I assume the avatar cam is a payserver cam as I havent heard of that one before.
