Black home 0.12 is a very old image, and is not oe 1.6 !

What would you recommend? I thought Nabilosat enigma 2 blackhole v0.12 was oe 1.6 the lastest dated 19/10/2009. I have used Pli jade 3 enigma 2 dated 25/9/2009 also.

Try new enigma or gemini, in both images you can install the addons (emus etc), directly by blue panel.

I decided to have another go at getting smargo working. I have installed sim201e_DreamElite BlackHole_13_OE1.6-DM800-20100419 on my DM800 clone. I am using CCcam2.1.4 and NDs card. The DreamElite image has all drivers for smargo. However I still can't get Dreamelite device manager to recognise it nor Cccam as it shows no or unknown card. My smargo is set to
Mode =Fixed
Frequency= 3.69
Kernel=Normal
T-Mode=T=0
EGT=0
When I run telnet dmesg|grep usb I get:
usbcore: registered new driver usbfs
usbcore: registered new driver hub
drivers/usb/host/ehci-brcm.c: starting brcm EHCI USB Controller
usb usb1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
drivers/usb/host/ohci-brcm.c: starting brcm OHCI USB controller

usbcore: registered new driver ftdi_sio
drivers/usb/serial/ftdi_sio.c: v1.4.3:USB FTDI Serial Converters Driver

drivers/usb/serial/p12303.c: Prolific PL2303 USB to serial adapter driver
usb 2-1.2: new full speed USB device using brcm-ohci-0 and address 3
usb 2-1.2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
drivers/usb/serial/ftdi_sio.c: Detected FT232BM
usb 2-1.2: FTDI USB Serial Device converter now attached to ttyUSB0
So it looks like it recognises the smargo, and can put a flash stick into the port and it is recognised in Device manager but not the Smargo.
My Cccam cfg is:
SERIAL READER: /dev/ttyUSB0 smartreader+
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/ttyUSB0 3690000
BOXKEY: /dev/ttyUSB0 01 02 03 04
SMARTCARD SID ASSIGN: /dev/ttyUSB0
Any ideas please.

Well, it seem's good news, your smargo and card are detected by CCcam !

Now, maybe something is missing, maybe Boxkey for nds ?

Thanks I thought it was connected, and my boxkey is in CCcam ok as when I run Newcs 1.67/CCcam 2.1.4 and put card in front slot with same box key it works ok with pictures.

But when I change Newcs to smargo settings it's detecting smargo and card but that's all.
My CCcam is:
SERVER LISTEN PORT: 12000
SERIAL READER: /dev/ttyUSB0 smartreader+
BOXKEY: /dev/ttyUSB0 xx xx xx xx
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/ttyUSB0 3580000

Try like This :

SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB0
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/ttyUSB0 6000000
BOXKEY: /dev/ttyUSB0 xx xx xx xx

I i think that you don't need Newcs, cccam will do it !
And remove your Nline, test again !

I dumped Newcs and changed CCcam 2.1.4 to :
SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB0
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/ttyUSB0 6000000
BOXKEY: /dev/ttyUSB0 xx xx xx xx

I changed smargo mode to dreambox but it's not recognised in entitlements so I changed back to normal and it's recognised.
Also in CCcam Info (yellow button/red button/ I still get
In Entitlements it reads
Card reader /dev/ttyUSB0
handled 9(0) ecms and 0(0) emms
NDS Card xxxxxxx
Entitlement info

Just to add my nds card is caid 096c and i don't think CCcam 2.1.4 can decrypy it.

Hello and Happy new year!
I have a clone dm800 and today I install iCVS image with Gemini3 wizard but I can't install smargo card reader.
Is smargo compatible with this new image ?

Well I sorted out my problems, I had originally updated to V1.4 could never get it to work so ended up getting another smargo v1.3 and worked straight away. Atm I can't get it to work with just CCcam 2.1.4 only and have to use Newcs 1.67 and Cccam 2.1.2 to fire up. I'm using Nabilo BH image.

Having had the exact same problems I can tell you are tearing your hair out
like i was anyway the simple facts...

If using OE1.5 image the smargo has to be in DREAMBOX mode
and has to be set in the smargo windows utility running in ADMINISTRATOR mode
in anything higher than XP or the changes will not be written to the smargo.

The config lines are like this

SERIAL READER: /dev/tts/0 smartreader+
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/tts/0 6000000
BOXKEY: /dev/tts/0 xx xx xx xx

If however you are using OE1.6 image then smargo has to be in NORMAL mode
make sure you run the smargo windows utility in ADMINISTRATOR mode in any
windows os higher than XP, otherwise it will not write changes to the smargo.

The config lines for OE1.6 are like this

SERIAL READER: /dev/ttyUSB0 smartreader+
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/ttyUSB0 6000000
BOXKEY: /dev/ttyUSB0 xx xx xx xx
