Not much fta on 30W these days but 10890V 27500 3/4 is a decent signal here on an 80cm dish

Ive found a small gap in the trees that I can just squeeze enough signal out of to scan the Hispasats

thanks for the update A/S I sometimes watch the iberalia channel at 30W 10890V 27500 3/4 it comes in at 82% on my 1mtr and 94% on my 1.2 using different receivers on both setups.

Yes i noticed that the other day, i renamed the channel , locked it and did a preset scan to catch some feeds and it reverted the tv8 name i gave it back to ch3010.

Managed to get Arzu TV from the Express AM22 sat 53 East at the weekend with a good signal on 11660 H SR 2170 on the Euro beam with a Sky Zone 2 mk3 Raven dish & LNB and a Silvercrest/Comag SL65/12 receiver. Even some moderate rain in the evening didn't cause picture break up though the signal quality did fall slightly. Not bad IMO with the hilly terrain here, an elevation angle of just over 8 degrees and the inability to properly skew the LNB.
Nadym on 10995 H SR 3255, Tandom on 11175 H SR 2500 and 1TV on 11159 H SR 2442 were also received albeit notably weaker than Arzu even with a clear sky with frequent break up and loss of signal. All three channels however are on the Wide Europe beam which advises a 90cm dish for reception here as opposed to 70cm for the Europe beam. Nothing else was received here on the Europe or Wide Europe beams.

Sorry, I forgot to add a couple of photos on my post, one showing the dish in position and the signal reading of Arzu. Please don't laugh at the dish set up! It's only a temporary rig that doesn't take long to put up and even quicker to take down.

There actually was one out of shot!
The funny thing was that the dish itself was bought a few years ago for my parents, their house was being renovated so were staying in a rented house for a few weeks but my dad couldn't go without Sky Sports and ATR, and the house didn't have any dish on it, so I got the dish set up by sitting it on a car tyre in the back yard with a breeze block behind the dish to balance it and stop it moving against the wind.

Ive logged Yamal 402 @ 55E in the last couple of evenings.

The strongest signal is a DVB-S2 signal

11002H 21500 3/5 DVB-S2 8PSK (note the odd fec). This frequency is carrying an Iranian mux. Signal strength isnt great here, and initial reports from the lads dxing it seems to indicate a 1m dish is needed

A change on 57E - Asia TV is now DVB-S2, although I havent had a chance to get the dish round to have a look how strong it is now.

Checking from my experimental location last weekend without fixing the dish up, it looks like 53 East is about as far east as I can go (I'm approx 7 degrees west longitude). Didn't check 55E (though I doubt a zone 2 dish would pull in the IRIB multiplex anyway) but 57E is below a hill while 53E manages to sneak in between a couple of trees that are around 250 metres away. The dish when fixed in place as shown in post #93 can only see as far west as 4.8E before the big tree in the background blocks the arc. I've checked a location to look for the western half of the arc which should provide reception from 1W onwards (I can live without 3E) a few metres away getting around the said tree and look as far as 45W at least - could likely get 61W as well if there was a strong enough European beam signal from it. I hope to get another chance to work on it allowing for a chance to do so. As an extra, inside the mobile home at the site, the dish can be placed on top of the bucket that is in the photo that is sat of a fixed foam seat looking through a SE facing window to pull in most of the stronger stuff on 42E and also the Romanian mux of Kiss & Prima at 45E without too much trouble, though some cork place mats are placed underneath and some old paperback books are inside the bucket to give it stability (it does make adjusting between the two satellites very easy though). West of 42E isn't possible though because of said tree again.
