On a different note, around here there was an excellent orange to red to purple sunset on Monday night, but I didn't have my camera to hand so not mine. (doesn't do justice to the actual event)

Fab views of tonights aurora here in Kelso. This is the first time Ive ever tried auroral photography & I think they have come out ok.
Camera settings: 2.5 second exposure / f3.5 / iso 6400
Of course the camera pics the colours up much better than the human eye but the reds & greens were easily visible to the naked eye

They were just visible in the south London area around 10pm but I had already gone to bed.
