That's the old one Paul, the 8" cradle has two ratchets.

K at the top for me. Even though the CAI handbook says put the T at the top.

Hmmm. I always put the K at the top, T at the bottom. I live in a bungalow so the pole is standing on the ground anyway.

Well ..time to add to the debate I think ..
I went for Double K in the middle ..
I do like to overkill where possible ..but at least I can hang more than one dish on my ...structure ..
Before putting any motors & dishes on it I actually climbed the ladder and hung on the top T (briefly) using my own weight to test ..
I don't recommend this btw ..
..Im a bit mad and a bit paranoid about my dishes having accidents ..
Me ..not so much.
..and I needed to be convinced in my own mind that the arrangement wouldn't fail in high winds...or heavy loading.

Notice also the top K and top T are relatively close together ..giving I believe a stronger anchor to the brickwork for the heavier Darkmotor/TD110 combo
rgds
VS
...Oh ..and shield Anchors every time ..not these crappy rawl plug type thingies..

Yep agree with you VS on the anchor bolts, once i'd got the pole on the wall, i tried moving the pole top and couldnt, its bloody solid! I wouldnt want my dish blowing onto next doors in a gale, imagine the grief.
