Don't know when you'll be back home buddy ..
..but if soon I suspect you have a _very_ good chance of getting Cholusat ..
Even stronger today ..
Pushing 3.7 > 3.8 db ..with occasional burst of to 4.1db

Hi friends ..
I just want to publicly thank Qwer....Edgar for providing me with a copy of his F16 channel database which hopefully will work in my F15..
The idea being that I will then have prestored channel data for those dx/borderline channels which are just on the fringe regarding my dish..
You just never know it may allow me to dx and briefly lock those just out of reach channels..
A good example of which was Cholusat ...until I finally managed a lock the other day.
;)

@ Nelson ..
I realise today wouldn't be an ideal day ...but did you have another crack at 43W since you returned home ?
I figured you might have got a 2 day window before the rains set in ?

hi -
i meant to reply about that - on saturday -
no i got nothing from 43W - just strong signals leaking over from 40.5
i tried thursday night - and on and off througout the day on friday, both days were good weather.
the 50 or so miles further north may be making the difference,
or the tuner just not good enough.
i will continue to try - now and again when the skies clear :)

cheers --

..No probs m8..
Things may have changed now of course ..
Can't even check myself due to the weather ..
But did notice the signal peak starting around 6pm and becoming unusable after midnight..

What receiver are you using? On the Vu+ it takes more than 30 seconds to lock that due to the low SR. The Vantage is quicker but I don't rate the tuner. Did you add the transponder manually?

hi - Huevos
i tried with both the vantage and the spiderbox -
i added the t.p. manualy on both receivers - like your Vu + the spider can take a while to show a signal sometimes - i,m used to giving it a while to lock now :)
but not a hint of signal on either box - my dish has good clear line of sight round to 50 west - after that it gets slightly blocked
i think vipersan is maybe located at the limit for a 1.8 dish - i,m 50 - 60 miles further north - i will still try again though under clear skies:)

cheers --
