Just been looking at the minime American edition on ebay ..
sold from canda ..
Looks interesting ...and I assume is ok on 220/240v
It may well find it's way onto my list of boxes to own..
apparently like its older cousin ...also does 4:2:2
which in itself is a good reason to own one..
Any reason they aren't sold over in Europe Scopus ?

MiniMe's were sold in Europe VS, but not many, plus you had to flash Enima2 as the main software. AZBox had more success with its big brother the ME in Europe. AZBox Canada wrote some half decent software for the Premium and Premium Plus and infact for the ME. I went for the MiniMe from Canada because it has some decent blind scan software, infact there version is the only one that will blind scan properly, any Enigma 2 version does not scan very well at all. They released a new kernel version before Christmas and it bricked my boxes, but they paid for my postage and reflased them again and sent them back to me all under warranty, it took about 6 weeks, but they are now working very well. Yes they will work on 220/240v and they do work well with 4.2.2.

Thanks for the info scopus ...
I assume that should I get one I can flash a copy of your firmware into it ?

as to Newsnet ..
It burned too brightly last night ?
went to bed with 13db ..but awoke to 6.2db ...
no physical changes to the setup were made ...unless the winds have affected Carl...but having said that they were nowhere near as severe as the previous night.
Such is the nature of this odd bird..

VS, you would have to buy a box from them first, and the software would be installed already. You can get the software from the AZBox Americas site but it won't flash on any MiniMe you get with Enigma installed if you say got one from Europe. I suppose they are just protecting the software from appearing on forums for sharing.
Newsnet was a little down for me this morning, but I made a discovery last night...I tried another BBC converter that I had modded and the signal was well down, might be worth trying modding another SUP VS??

Ahh I see ..
They have gone down the TM5402 route have they ..
Using a bloody protection chip that detects fakes etc ..
Damned nuisance if you ask me ..but I understand why they do it.
cest la vie

As to the BBC ...
I already have 2 on the SL3 ..
one modded and one not ..
I can easily try the second (non modded) using E2 03 00
which I'll do as soon as I've finished my toast..

Yes, down to 7.6dB this morning VS. Locks to TS reader, no video - tagged the usual Program 1 instead of Newsnet. All other V's have healthy readings. Odd indeed.

Good find VS. Cheap too. Resist temptation to doctor it, and let us know how it performs against your others.

BTW - with my unmodded SL3-01, I don't need to send 22kHz out to the LNB via the modded BBC when I use the left-hand feed. On or off makes no difference (that's with the cable in the first output connection).

Is that normal? I'm sure I needed to switch it on when I used the SL3-03.

Certainly is odd how some feeds will lock at very low signal levels from Newsnet ..
This one for example ..
SL3 cap on (surprise surprise raining again)
signal is therefore already reduced by 1db ...but locks easily at less than 6db..
..but then it is QPSK ..not 8psk ..

Just checked with the SL3, the QPSK signal has left but 18507 and 18511 are not locked with 7 dB

Still waiting for my two SUP-2400s that I ordered.

Out for delivery by the local 13Ten (Yodel?) depot on Tuesday, nothing as yet.

@Vipersan just check newsnet on my TM5302, 45% and I still have the same problem with the BER.

But also scan it in via my Dr HD D15 and its 9.0db and watchable.

What boxes have you tried it on? Oh and I did readjust my gibertini, as I found out the cheap inclometer was about 3° out.

So I used a trusted one and re-adjusted it, as it was a tad out.

I really only use TBS cards and the F15 on the SL3 ..
Will try a quick scan on the F15 if you say it is over 9db

Very occasional bursts of Audio..
One frozen image so far ..
..and for that I had to go outside and remove the plastic cap..
With the cap on ...10.2db blank black screen ..no audio
without the cap 11.2 occasional bursts of both A and V
There was a time when this would have been enough,,
Sadly ..not any more.

What did you Changed with the use of that inclometer , dish elevation ?
I never trust the construction of the dish/feedarm , once i got some signal , my signal meter depends my elavation .

Yes dish elevation and dish face.

I used to set the polar mount to 50.6° as that's what my phone GPS said it was. But I went to dish pointer website and checked, that said I was at 50.9° so I moved it to that.
