Had showers all day here and now it's started to clear up.

More than just showers here, constant rain, but same as you, it has finally stopped raining, too late though, as I now have standing water, the ground just hasn't had time to dry out fully.
Temperatures seem low, for the time of year, and still no sun !!!!!!!!!
Hopefully it will be better next month, June, with a few dry, and sunny, days, but I'm not counting on it !!!!!!!!!

At least I was able to sow some grass seed on the verge between our boundary wall and the lane confident that it would soon get well watered in!

Same here buddy ..
The only thing missing were the rumbles of thunder..
Awoke to rain ..light level so low I thought it still night..
Periodic checks through the windows ..rain ..rain and more rain all day..
It simple didn't offer any respite..
Even my cats refused to venture outside..
4:15 now and you guessed it...still raining.
No projects outside..no gardening..no DXing as all dishes are suffering rain fade..
Prolly have my tea ..watch TV and go to bed early..
..as to the bank holiday ..It isn't happening here either..

Been relatively nice here, cloud was frequent but the sun managed to push some heat through...

I got one of the mowers, that came with next door, running, needed a change of petrol (it had old, smelly, "first pee of the day" yellow petrol in the tank), a nut replacing on the starter and a few handlebar screws tightening up, but it works nice, it's a Mountfield SP414 (I think), has a diddy little 100cc 2HP engine on it which sounds funny when it first fires up, but it's got some grunt to it for a self-propelled mower with such a small engine, the other mower though, ugh, that needs a LOT of work doing, poor thing's been run to within an inch of death it seems, but, it's not a priority, got to get the cheap-ass strimmer working first...

And the sun's still trying to beam through, cos it's nice like that...

I induced a rainstorm here by nipping out to do pre-MOT checks on SWMBO's car: Nice sunny spell that lasted until I'd got the front wheels off.

Been raining here, most of the day, but it's also been very dark. I'm beginning to wonder if we'll ever get a decent spell of sunshine !!!!!!!
On the bright side it might help Lancashire get a draw, in the cricket, against Yorkshire, but it did nothing to save England from another humiliating defeat !!!!!

Approaching 8pm ..and the rain finally stopped ..
Ground still wet, rooves still sodden ...and the gloom has started to lift ..just in time for in going dark..
Pretty much a 'non' day here and the prospects for tomorrow ....more of the same.
gonna have a couple of Guinness to lift my spirits then watch the Euro election results come in..
Maybe the 3 main UK parties will take another kicking ..??
That'll cheer me up no end..

Nice sunny start here, it's set to cloud over by the afternoon, but that's not a problem, cos by then I won't care cos I'll be worn out from box-shifting...

Oh yes: The offside front was replaced a year or three back but the nearside front is the original (ie cheap and nasty). It appears, however, to be intact.

Ask me again on Wednesday ............................

And as for you two reporting a nice start to the day, I'm about to go out and remove the rear wheels to check/clean brakes etc, so get your brollies on standby.
