I read that this morning when first replying and it doesn't help at all!

Reminiscent of car maintenance manuals that say "To remove the Engine, simply remove the Engine"

Yep. As I said earlier, this would probably be easy to resolve if we had access to the set itself - as highlighted by the fact we all interpret the skimpy Manual and the situation as described slightly differently. If it were me, I'd just try a few bold selections, starting with the "Direct" option, and tune for maximum smoke!.

TBH, I think you are incorrect - an LNB with 4 outputs for a "Sky" dish is simply 4x separate LNBs in one unit, designed to, typically, supply 2 feeds to 2 separate receivers,each of which has 2 inputs to allow simultaneous recording of 1 channel whilst recording another. Very widely installed in the UK (and probably elsewhere) - but essentially NO different to a single output LNB, which is all that the Tosh TV's sat tuner is designed to handle (and thus it cannot be used to watch one channel whilst recording another).

PS: I use a standard "Sky" 4 o/p LNB on the Zone 2 dish aimed at 30W with 1 o/p (the others are unconnected) feeding the 16-1 DiSEqC switch that links to the house, and I set it up and treat it exactly like the standard single o/p LNB that I tried on that dish but worked no better!

PPS: Toni said that the label on the LNB is very faded - that means that it has been installed for quite a long time, and thus probably well before wideband Unicable LNBs began to be installed in the UK.

I have no experience of Unicable LNBs, but I suspect that you are correct!

SInce the Humax box worked with the cable from the dish, I would assume everything else upstairs is standard Universal frequency

Ok, I'm back! I can't find anywhere that has any of the suggestions you make. I'm going in via Installation menu. There is nothing via Settings menu. Help!!!! oh and I have changed the lnb to a single out Fortec Star. This is working perfectly with the Humax.

Right, when you first flashed up the Telly for Satellite, you will have been invited to select "Antenna Type".

It appears that you incorrectly selected "Single Satellite Cable", rather than "Direct".

If there is no obvious way to amend "Antenna Type", I suggest you return the set to Factory Settings and start again!

This time, take a deep breath and select "Direct" .......... !!

I have a Toshiba 32L3963DG, and there dosen't seem a way to change antenna type, once selected. So Lazarus is correct for suggesting factory settings and starting over!

My Samsung TV in main room has a satellite tuner but I could never get it work from my fixed dish. My Zero box works fine on the same dish but no the Samsung TV. I thought it was a cable issue from thespliter but maybe not as the settings ask for all sorts.

TBH, from what others (apart from @Toni Vines - glad that's worked out quite well ) have said, most of us who have TV's with sat tuners are less than "enamoured" with them in terms of the "usability" - so are they really worth bothering with???
