It remains to be seen exactly what's happened - and why.

Probably a Key change - but scheduled? or as a step to prevent further "out of area" reception?

It seems I bricked my Skybox F3 in vain!

Thanks for checking .............. so the question remains: Coincidence (ie a planned routine change), or a response to "events"?

I have a bad feeling, that BBC is entirely aware of unauthorized access to their channels. They knew the extent of coverage offered by Astra 2D, then 1N as well as more popular workaround available on INT907. From the other hand do they afford to apply expensive changes into their DVB-T downlink system? This requires significant reconfiguration at signal distribution points, therefore I personally think this is just a matter of BISS key change.

The overspill of the BBC’s services will be reduced so viewers outside the UK will find it even harder to receive them. I know that this causes unhappiness to some of you living outside the UK. However, it is entirely appropriate because the BBC domestic services are for people living in the UK only.
This proves that BBC reads this forum :)

Of course the BBC / SES tech guys read the forums - we have known that for donkeys years :D

I know for certain that at least one of the SES press people is following the forum fb page, so anything we write there they get to see.

Unlucky Tivu. I hope you manage to un-brick the f3, I think it's relatively easy to reflash the receiver via the serial port.

This is one of the reasons I've refrained from posting on this thread. I enjoy anything satellite/terrestrial orientated and was an eager beaver to help people and hand out info.

Can't blame the BBC. They must have strict licensing agreements to adhere to.

Oh, yes - Unbricked no problem, using next door's ancient PC with Serial Port!

Put recording of bbc 27.5w programm on any upload and give its link here or p.m me. Then I will look for somebody who can help on different foreign fora. The recording has to be taken on computer , TS file, mpeg2, x264. Only on computer dvb-s2 card you can record scrambled channel. About 2 minutes is enough. It helps to watch it again.

I'm quite sure that some already have bruted the new control word, but this time they won't go public. All you can do is wait :-doh2

Please note, it is contrary to Forum Rules to post keys so notwithstanding what the BBC may do in terms of changing them, they will not be published here under any circumstances
