Hi Blanno,

Just wondering how the picture is? We just had a system installed Friday too (probably same company)

Was wondering how your picture held out in the rain on Sunday?

Where else has it installed then?

Which Viasat did you go for? (Norway, Sweden, Denmark?...)

- Fosters
Would you mind telling us what dish size you went for and what your results are, please?
Cheers buddy

Hope you don't mind me chipping in here.

You'll get almost all 380 games on any Viasat package, probably more than 375. But if you want those extra few games, which are on the last game of the season, then Sweden is the one for you. It's up to you to decide whether those extra few games are worth it.

On another forum some people in Ireland were asking what size dish is required. I'm on the east coast with AzBox 1.1m dish and Black Ultra lnb and I can get a signal on two transponders 11747 and 11862. But it is only around 30% and sometimes nothing and nothing ever on any other transponder. This compares with up to 97% on European beam.

Hi all, The original enquiery was on behalf of the Local landlord, he bought a system locally and it was suposed to be installed last friday, he rang yesterday and was told they are hanging back because they think the frequency is going to be changed on thursday or friday. Is this likely and what effect would it have, My knowledge of Sat tv is very limited. Any advise again would be very welcome as to which? sweeden Norway or Denmark I have no idea until they fit it.

Thanks Blanno

Hi all the system is up and running gets the matches like it said on the box. But one channel, channel 19 looses its signal at about 6:30 in the evening and the suppliers told him this is the case whith everyone, anybody know anything about this, the 3 o'clock matches are on this channel and the early evening matches any information will be gladly received.

What dish did you get? My Penta 85cm dish gets everything from Sirius, including the Nordic beam and I am just on the other side of the estuary. I suppose you live further west from me, so that would explain the weaker signal. I do get lower signal in the evening on some TV1000's (down to 6dB/36% on Dreambox 800 with M rev tuner) but it remains stable unless it rains.

it's a 1.5 mtr. dish and it's just the one channel that the signal drops on

I cannot decode HD channels but I'll check for signal. HD channels tend to require more signal than SD channels so that could explain it. Still, I wouldn't have thought you'd have issues with a 1.5m dish.

You're right. I get no signal at all on this TP at 6:15pm with a light drizzle. All SD channel TPs are fine and 12341H is good. Other HD TPs are no go...

If you're using the Viasat card in the DM800 then that;s why it won't work. Viasat HD channel only work in the Viasat box.

I have heard the tuner in the viasat hd box are weak so the only thing you can do to get the channel is a large dish which you have and also what lnb was installed ?

can you get a picture of the dish and lnb ?

do you not receive the channel at all throughout the day/night and have you checked _http://www.flysat.com/viasat.php to check your receiving all the beams as it could be your 1.5m dish is not big enough

looking at the coverage map of astra 4a the nordic beam see here _http://www.flysat.com/astra4a-beam.php. I think your 1.5m dish is not enough and should have gone for 1.8m at a guess.
