Playing my original vinyl to celebrate
JJ Cale's Troubadour album was reissued this past weekend, on 180g vinyl in Europe only with the art and layout remaining unchanged from the original pressing.
The album, which celebrated its 40th anniversary last month, was JJ Cale’s fourth studio release.
Troubadour is brimming with Cale classic tracks, highlighted by the mega-hit “Cocaine”, famously covered by Eric Clapton, and now one of the most recognized and iconic tunes in Rock.
That and other highlights from the album, like "Travelin' Light" and "Ride Me High" have gained favor and ongoing profile with groups like Phish and Widespread Panic among many others regularly covering the songs live.
