Buddy Holly 'Not Fade Away' over home movie of Buddy and the Crickets arriving in the UK for a tour. Sight-seeing here in Cambridge 1958, on Silver Street Bridge (45s in).

Wish I'd seen them now, they played many gigs around England on this tour, but as a teenager then I only went to jazz concerts.

Played one of those in our local skiffle group. Then the guitarist's dad (a chippy) made me a 'proper' bass - more like a one-stringed bass balalaika :-rofl2
