sure,yes my channel master dish has f/d under 40 if i remember right 34?

but how,the this manufactor real measuring,the real gain winning of a dish,in there data sheets?
in the past,many companys like gibertini on there ,150m this,and irte ,on my 1,86 m dish,make little design faults,in the lenth of the lnb holder!
mostly it was to long,and has to be cutted,to get better performace,like o n the old orbitron sx 12 dish also,all companys,has a ascendancy,but the tech data sheet say no word about it,how the real stated gainwinning in the sheet itsef has been calculated,to get this gain winning value,that you can see on the techpaper!
same on lnbs,expect swedish microwave,all other companys,dont put a data sheet in there lnb package!
and the dish manufactor,also dont tell us,what eqitment,the have used,that the can say,antenna a wins for example 41 db in kuband and 38 in cband for a 2,40m

on the tech sheet of channel master i read about my antenna for expample

crosspolarisation on axis minimum 30 db
VSWR(Maximum)i dont know what this means 1.3

many things,what we read in the sheets,does not reflect the reality,how the signal realy will be ,because,ther to many ascendancy,other unkown sources!

Right got some sheet metal just need to know how do you make the rings in to a cone shape

If you take a sheet of paper and cut it into a circular shape you can form a cone. All you need to do is cut a line from the edge to the center. Then hold the disk at its circumference and pull the edges to overlap. The more you overlap the deeper the cone.

In making the Scalar you just trim off the excess overlap not needed for the seam.

By now you have likely made your own cone Scalar. But if not it is very easy. I used Super Glue.

hi everybody, this week i made this scalar ring with some copper.i tested with my gibertini 1 mt diameter.with original scalar of the lnb panorama,i got nothing from satellites,instead with this original feed i got arabsat and express am1.
@satcom1 Can you tell me which satellites you see with your 1mt dish?

That is excellent job of fabrication and your results are very good. You may find that individual TP's pop in and out for a given sat when you move the Cone Scalar in and out while keeping the LNBF fixed.

The dish with the cone Scalar become resonate and are very frequency selective.

I hope others will try this for themselves. It is best used on small dishes 1 m or less. Some strong C Band signal can be received on 76 cm offset with Cone Scalar.

Yes, well on my 90 cm P*e I get NHK Japan at 58W, the horse and dog races on SNG at G3C, At 99W I get NBC,ThisTV,CW,ABC from Virgin Islands and at 121W Sports time Ohio and Sportsmans Channel. You can check out these sats at Lyngsat for comparison.

Gipras- you may get better signal if you use Doctorforsat's device along with what you have.
