With all the excitement with 2E, forgetting the old girl. 2B now at ~27E. 11708V beacon at centre, 11710V beacon to the right. 26E beacon fading now, but still easily visible to the left.

Hope so. Both old, but maybe 2B footprint more favourable for West Europe than the tight 1G one? (if it keeps the existing beams).

I think the destination is 31.4E so probably more of a backup while waiting for 5B to launch?

With Astra 5B launching soon I can't see it being used much except for backup.

Astra 2B (inclination 1.6°) left 31.36°E a few days ago.
According CoB, will arrive at 39.0°E on 17 August.

Astra 2B arrived at 39.0°E as planned, co-locating with Hellas Sat 2 that hasn't moved a bit.

Astra 2B (inclination 1.7°) has switched on some empty transponders: 11758 H, 12149 H, 12461 H, all 27500 3/4 DVB-S.
There may be more, several peak I can't lock (yet).
