My first pc was bought from Escom in January 1996 it was a Commodore branded pentium 60hmz with a 1gb hard drive and a massive 8 megs of RAM it also featured a quad speed cd-rom drive and a sound card plus Windows 95 it cost about £1200 i think and the mono inkjet a Canon BJ200-e was £200 and i had to take it back as fauty twice.
Next PC was a Packard Bell from Currys a Pulsar model think it was a 25 with a Pentium 2 233MMX and 32Megs of ram was quite a stylish bit of kit and it cost £1500 quid plus £150 for a colour injet.
After that i decided that Wintel was crap and bought an indego iMac in 2001 that lasted until 04 when i bought a Dell PC with XP as i got fed up with incompatability issues with the Mac.
Though im tempted by a Mac mini ive spent my pennies on a HDTV now.
