Also the very useful list of KB updates ...win 7 spyware installs ..
which I will print and keep ...for removal on my machines..
Worth reading this down to the comments at the bottom of the article ..for this list alone..

With my Windows 8.1 laptop getting more and more tongue tied with either 100% memory usage or 100% disk usage or 100% CPU usage or a combination of all three, I decided that Win 10 could not be any worse than what I had, my laptop was often unusable for long periods of time. So I finally took the plunge and spent yesterday doing an image backup plus full file backup then installed Win 10 along with Ashampoo program for limiting the amount of data being sent to MS also added classic shell and to be honest so far so good. Firstly all my data is intact, all my programs appear to be there but not tested all of them. The HD light is hardly flickering now whereas previously it was an almost permanently on light. I realize it is early days, but so far Win 10 with the mods used makes my laptop happy and I am also using 64bit chrome as I was before and it seems fine, not sure what surprises I will be having in the future though.

I have gone back to Win 7 on my Laptop & Desktop as my Sony Laptop looses some normal functions due to lack of support for W10 by Sony & my PC works better with W7 for some reason still keep getting KB3035583 trying to load W10 onto my pc but no chance since I now approve all upgrades

Did you run this on W8.1 (as I do at the moment) as well? If so did it transfer across unchanged or did it have to be reinstalled?

KB3080149 is the latest win 7 spyware removed from my pc's
This has superseeded all previous versions.

Hello, got 3x 8.1 systems and all are behaving perfect here. Classic Shell on all of them.
Only special: all the (cr)apps (the ugly squares) deleted from hd, store & onedrive gone, all w10 spam\malware-updates blocked.

Any problems may be due to the w10 related updates\programs that MS are force feeding.
8.1 working really good, stable and fast, boots in seconds. And will be fully supported (security) until 2023.


About w10, here's a funny expression of opinions (from a moderator on a 8.000.000+ posts forum):

A know issue due to .edb files consuming the hard drive.

Yes Paul, I did run Classic Shell and assuming the update from four weeks ago from them was accepted, it auto updates when you upgrade to Win10, as the installation finalised a popup asked if you wanted to update. My lappy is a Sony Vaio SVF153 which was piss poor from purchase but Sony kept saying there was no problem, the first one went back for similar problems, I cannot believe how good the Ashampoo program is at locking things down. I have never had figures like this below since I bought it even with no programs open or being used it was higher
