Windows 11 - "How low can you go?" - it's a LOT higher than for W10! :(
Maybe I should have started a new thread - but this could also be a "new challenge" in this one! FYI on How-to-Geek Microsoft Backs Down: Windows 11 Will Run on Any PC Main point: needs to be a fresh install of W11 and NOT an upgrade from W10 - I might even have a go with one of the older W10 Desktops here that certainly didn't meet the "previous" requirements for processor &/or TPM! OTOH, I might even have a go with SWMBO's 2007/8 vintage Dell 1525 laptop which started out with Vista when we got it a couple of years after that! General comment on current W11 experience: Before Xmas I bought a refurb Dell XPS13 with 8th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU as previous lounge netbook is definitely dieing, and it does run quite nicely and gives me an intro to the newer system. OTOH, one has to become accustomed to doing things slightly differently (sometimes even reverting to the much older ways!).
