Good evening st1 from a chilly 1.4c Mullion Cove.
I used the original ku band bracket as a template.
As it is not a flat item I wrapped a piece of paper over the surface, then marked the outer shape and the three holes.
Also the centre of the ku band lnb hole.
Remember to make it larger that the original ku band one at the top, or the larger hole required will leave a left very thin amount of metal to the edge.
Pleases see image
I made that mistake and had to make a second one : )
I made the hole in the centre for the C band lnb by drilling a series of small hole all the way round, joining the holes with side cutters as it was aluminium.
Then a round and a have round file to finish off, standard stuff.
To make the bends I held the ku band bracket against the new one and made a pencil mark, popped it in the vice and hit it with a hammer close to the bend : )
The sizes are very rough as I made it by hand and have only measured it afterwards.
Niether have I tried it with the lnb powered up as of yet : )
Hope that is of some help.
On a recheck the distance at the top where the bends start is more like 48mm than 50.
God Bless Spiff
