Looks like a good specification.
I hope this means the SF4008 gets it's promised blind scan too.

I really wish manufacturers cared more about *satellite receiver* features that people actually want rather than worrying about Kodi. A thousand and one boxes can run Kodi - including it in a satellite receiver is somewhat wrong in my eyes. Same as trying to shoehorn a fully functional web browser into a receiver or TV. Do people really browse web on their TVs?

Maybe I am just odd...

Agree with you CJ, but I can see in a few years almost everything will come via fibre, happening already, SIS are building an ever increasing fibre network, plus 4 and 5G. networks, satellite is slowly dying..
I hardly ever use the PC for browsing now.

PC, yes. Phones and tablets are coming in strong now. But I would still never dream of browsing web on my TV.

I hear you about fibre networks etc. but there will always be areas that will never have such coverage - especially impoverished areas, like Africa. Or North Somerset.

And this is exactly why Octagon never activated the already built-in hardware blindscan for SF4008. Now everyone go and buy the new box...

I don't want Kodi or any of that stuff on my box, I want it for just Satellite and why can't someone put a spectrum on one these days?
Blindscan, Spectrum analyser and some other things is all I want.

Am I right in thining still no Blindscan or "no stream relay" with the SF4008?

Still happy with my Mutant HD51 though and glad I didn't go for the SF4008.

Is this the first Enigma2 box with Hisilicon Hi3798MV200 Huawei chips? If so, there might be some bugs in drivers.

It appears the 5008 has been put on hold indefinitely, with the 8008 taking its place. I've been after a triple tuner (2x multistream S2X, 1x T2) with CI+ for a while - seems the 4008 is still my best option...
