With my Triax TD115, the arm was hanging 2 cm lower than where the calculated focal point was.
(see, in dutch: Triax TD115 met te korte arm? )
I'm curious if this is the case with other Triax dishes, also...
So, the message would indeed be: Measure your dish, and calcultate focal point. Also with 'common' dishes like Triax!I found that the performance of my TD88 improved substantially when a spare IKEA plastic spacer from a kitchen unit was inserted under the LNB arm to raise it towards the dish face.
Is the XP range their better range of Gibertini dishes?
They all have the similar specification but the XP is of better construction Gibertini SRL :: Satellite Antennas and Accessories
FWIW: have a look at the specific Gibertini website dishes pageThey all have the similar specification but the XP is of better construction Gibertini SRL :: Satellite Antennas and Accessories
That's seems to certainly true - there are a few "examples" of members on this website having bought those "mongrels"!Try to buy direct or at least from the continent, you could end up with a right mongrel from 'authorised' UK dealers as some have discovered
Or even, carefully, maybe buy a genuine s/h "full spec" Gibby of your choice?Try to buy direct or at least from the continent, you could end up with a right mongrel from 'authorised' UK dealers as some have discovered
With that I can only, with "experience", agree from issues with my dishes at "ground level"Avoid the bigger Triax dishes - the elevation adjustments are a right pita to fine tune. I have enough problems with them at ground level - gawd only knows how installers cope up a ladder!
Quite how the Triax's passed their final design Quality Assurance Im not sure - you need 3 arms to get the bloody things adjusted![]()
Anyone from UK purchased from them? They seem like genuine sellers of Gibertini dishes.
