whats the quality threshold for a stable picture ??

Don't know. If I get an unstable picture latter then I may be able to say.

Ok Folks, I have had a play, the dish was quite a bit out.
I now have at 1410
11053H 22000 Locked good picture. Sig 64% quality 44%
11126V 22000 Locked good picture. Sig 62% quality 42%
I know these readings are purely academic but they are taken from the spiderbox as a very rough guide nothing on 10964H or10994H.
However, on my H samuel everite el cheapo satfinder monitor from Hong Kong I can lock a picture on 10994V and can recieve a very pixellated and intermittent picture on 10964H.
Oh for a SD4844P chip, I could have the S10 up and running in five minutes, it's extremely sensitive. No cloud here.

So far, today, all working - got a stable picture.
Night time was the problem, so wait & see....

Just discovered I am getting different performance from different outputs on my LNB. One is giving me almost watchable performance on 4/7 and the other "No Signal". This is going to take a bit of sorting out :-(

Ok so far without adjusting the dish i have lost the following

ITV Central E (which is what my card is set for)
Channel 4 HD and 4/7
I have also lost all channel 5 output except for 5HD

I have a 1.8m prime dish with invacom.
Have spoken to an installer friend and he says he has got all of it working again on a identical dish today with a bit of a tweak.

I'd be interested to get some meter readings on the aforementioned freq's, that would be good.

Hopefully we will get a report from kiwitt on how his 1.8m is performing in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria. My 2.4 is not behaving perfectly, but I suspect it may need some re-configuration.

He is supposed to be coming round tomorrow evening to have a play with my dish so will get as much info as i can from him.
If he can do it then i will be very happy.
But i suspect when everything is moved it will mean a bigger dish.

Yep. If you can get as many measurements as possible from your installer; meter readings MER, CNR, SNR and or BER.

Have just come in from doggie walking.
10.964 H SR 22.000 FEC 5/6 - The Channel 5 bouquet. Now suffering significant horizontal pixelation
10.994 H SR 22.000 FEC 5/6 - ITV. Very slight pixelation.
11.126 V SR 22.000 FEC 5/6 - C4 HD / 4-7 Nothing being received.
11.053 H SR 22.000 FEC 5/6 - ITV HD London etc. Locked OK.

I have a channel master 2.4m in Tenerife.

Channel 5 is working just but getting a bit of break up
10.994 h is much weaker than it was on 1N but it seems to be exactly the same as Astra 2D was how weird is that they can make a brand new Satellie perform as the old one did.

Channel 4hd / 4-7 has not changed that is still on 1N
11.053h still working as well as Astra 2D used to.

Had a quick look CH4HD is perfect. "Five" channels are breaking up.

Meters are charged and ready for Fridays re-align!

Maybe you right with 4-7 and 4HD but the signal is the same here for me as it was with 1N. Channel 4 on 1N was the weakest of the freesat channels.

If the signal is behaving as it was in Feb with 2D then you will need a 2.4m dish for the 2F channels. Itv is much stronger than channel five so if your not getting itv you have no chance to get 5. That dish you have was the basic minimum size to get Astra 1F so it will be lined up 95% right so if your not getting anything during the day I don't think it will give you anything during the evening.

It was before so I would say it would be again. 2F looks to be same as 2D but channel 5 is weaker.

It's really amazing you are getting signal out there when in the south west of the Iberian peninsula we aren't getting anything...
We are for sure under a radiation nule...
