OK this is weird. Simply by turning my receiver off, then switching it back on the problem (for the moment) has now gone.
Even though the channels are broadcasted over DVB-S2, I wonder if during the day they're broadcasted in SD quality and in the evening HD quality?
Hello,
I seem to be having reception problems ever since BIS TV has gone HD. I purchased a new CAM which supports MPEG4 compression and altered the TP settings as follows:
Frequency: 11681V
Symbol Rate: 27500
Modulation: DVB-S2 8PSK
Pilots: Off
FEC: 3/4
Frequency: 12692H
Symbol Rate: 27500...
That's correct I do not use a motor. I just have three LNBs statically positioned and a standard aerial. I have since upgraded the firmware to 4.52 and along with the hard drive it's been absolutely fine.
My only criticism is programming recordings can be a little complicated. Specifying the...
After using the receiver after a week I've had the chance to use the USB PVR :)
Unfortunately even with the latest firmware v4.48 recording on a USB memory stick was fine, but playing back just freezes the receiver until I remove the memory stick! I then tried an external 100GB 5400rpm hard...

Everything you'd expect came in the box - a receiver, manual, remote control and batteries (most important). I'm not sure if this model has been officially launched in the UK as yet as the...
Hello all,
Does anyone have one of these receivers? The specs look fantastic and the price even better than some of the bigger rivals.
I've found some clear pictures...

As for TNTSAT, the box provided requires a paired card (supplied) and will only...
I've looked at all systems - TNTSat, BIS TV and Fransat and I believe BIS TV is the easiest way of getting French TV on your own receiver (from Hotbird).
There are also many, many FTA channels on Hotbird compared to Atlantic Bird 3's relatively small list.
