This is a Korean made receiver and it can be connected to a computer, but what forum you will find and if it's in English god's knows, best of luck. :) Always's best to check receiver out before buying. :eek:

Pretty obscure forum seems a bit strange, but you must check your receiver for patches etc, before you buy them.

You wont get it supplied by the manufacturer of course, but Myer's is now renamed Technomate and they patched my receiver.

Why have you switched the receiver on after starting to download the patch, surely the receiver should already be on. Find it strange that Technomate don't want to know about 3rd party software (Darkman's patch) as they put it on my receiver when I bought it. And that's an official Technomate...

Use the "info" button on the remote control to change the letters. One touch A, two touches B, and so on.

I did that and still the same, I think I'll cheat a bit and take it to that vacuum repair shop. Sod's law that the electrical shop that could have fixed this is only across the road, but it shut down last week. :mad:

Try tuning on the Russian channels at 11044V, 44950 as this has a much stronger signal. I was able to pick these up with a 70cm dish, but as for 11161V I'm getting nothing at the moment with my 90cm and anyway it's only two channels. As for 11044V I'm only getting a 50% signal but the picture...

Seeing as nobody has tried all the different receiver's on the market who's to know, but as for myself the Technomate 1500 takes a lot of beating. It's easy to use, cheap, and has brilliant backup via patches, makes my life very easy. :)
