I use it for sports and concerts,quite useful. I use text a lot but am disappointed with the speed. Why is the BBC and Sky text so slow? Bring back fastext :)

ERT sat is on hotbird .you can get in on a 1m dish but it is the same as ert that we receive on a normal tv aerial.

Possibly because we are having signal problems on ch4 sky two three etc which i think is on the north beam,but five is not affected

If there are heavy rain clouds in the direction that your dish is pointed to,you will lose channels,bbc/itv going off first as they are the weakest then ch4 sky two/three ,movies etc and if its cats and dogs,everything goes.This is a fact of life over here.Best thing to do is switch to 501 sky...

Ch4 has been very week lately,different reports are no signal,losing in the evenings or losing during the day,along with sky three and two.seems to be a satellite problem.maybe you can get your dish checked by a professional,or try a better lnb.Or go for a bigger dish.Do you get bbc/itv? Ps...

Another problem for you Carleen is that you are on the wrong side of the island.Your 2.7 would get bbc/itv all day in Paphos. 4.2m dishes are all the rage round your way lately. Bignick is right about not having plastic covers on your feedhorn,so the other problem is spiders.:)

It seems the ch4 problem isgetting worse.Those who were getting break up on friday have no signal on saturday(including me on my 3m today)
