CM dish is nice without additional painting. Clean it as best as you can and it will look like new. No need for paint..... IMHO.

It needs painting, you can see on the face where paint has worn off from the sun.

I picked them up in Lidl, very handy! You cant see it on the picture but I wrapped a load of Cat5 around the dish in a + Shape as well, just to stop it sliding and hold the blanket on.

That looks interesting, I could adapt possibly adapt it.

I looked at the tripods as I have some concrete posts (was my old fence posts) that have rebar running through them, I was going to use a grinder to make a T shape or Triangle so it self supports. And I can move it around if I have to.

A good - Karcher pressure washer will do the job o.k. ... but you "are" going to get "WET" even with good waterproof gear on ..... ... as i found out

Use a Bosch AQT 35-12 pressure washer here and the floor mounted big dishes naturally give no probs but the elevated wall mounted ones........YES you do get a little damp!

Suffice is to say that with little or no rain all year round here the dishes do look great after a 'wash'...........stubborn bird droppings are easily removed with a sponge.

I live in woodland so I will have all different types of droppings on mine
