actually you must make sure you re scanning for "radios" that usually come separated from "tv"
then you nne 1 list for "astra 1" 19°E,say "list 1"
one for hotbird(13°E),say list 2
and another for astra 2(BBC etc) 28E,say list 3
the idea is one for each position of your dish
the group of sat on 19E only needs one name & one list,astra 1!!

My radios stations are listed separately but they seems to scan together without a separate function.

I wonder ......... can you find a button on your Remote Telecommander that says "Audio".

Then press it and see what options come up: I suppose you might not have the right stream selected by default (Clutching at straws!)

When I press the audio button a blank window comes up.

Also, by searching each of the "Astras" on Auto, all you will get is exactly the same Channel lists replicated. Just pick one of them .................... At this rate you'll fill up your box's memory.

Oh ... I thought I had found 310 stations but this must be three lots of repeats then.

I only seem to have two catalunya radio stations on this frequency...

The list of around 60 Radio Channels on that frequency on 19.2E does not include any Channels that are not French, other than BBC World Service. Certainly no Catalan Channels!

That means they are coming from elsewhere: Do you have a Monoblock LNB on the dish ie does the lump on the end of the dish arm have two heads?

Astra does carry Catalan Radio, but nowhere near the frequency of the Transponder we're after. Please tell us the exact Channel names of the two Catalan ones you've got as this information should help us home in on what is amiss.

Could be as simple as an incorrect setting in your Antenna Setup/LNB menus.: In fact, the more I think about it, the more I favour it as the root of the problem.

gives you the whole transponder, radio and tv together
the brown ones are encrypted,the white ones are FTA
and be sure you can watch as much tv-5 as you wnat,btw there are 2 tv-5
tv5 europe which you know
and tv-5 FBS which you ll find on kingofsat using their search engine
and a few more ferench TVs and radio as well

I have Catalunya RA and Cataluny IN

My priority is to receive TV5Monde France (rather than Europe) which I do at the moment but previously I had both France Culture on the radio list and TV5Monde France (it has better programmes than TV5Monde Europe). I have no idea if I have a Monoblock LNB on the dish. I will see if I can look tomorrow when it is light. Thank you for your patience with this.

The thing is, if we were sat in front of your box it's likely we could diagnose and fix the issue in minutes. But we'll get there.

Hmm. I simply cannot unearth any reference to those Channels >> Let's hope someone else is reading and can shed some light.

Edit: I did look on Hotbird as that's why I asked about the Monoblock. Couldn't spot it though . Thanks rodscha!

Ok. As an experiment, alter DiSEqC Switch setting to A (or 1) and then to B (or 2) and see if that makes the desired Channel spring to life.

If that doesn't work, then maybe your dishonly has a single LNB and is actually aligned to Hotbird, not Astra 1?

Are there TV5 variants on Hotbird?

No cannot hear it though it does get 39% rather than no signal. A few german stations but not much else.

Ah a challenge - we like those on the forum

Lets start from first principles and make sure your dish is correctly aligned on 19E.

Give us the names of 2 or 3 tv channels that you can see the name of on screen. Use the on screen graphic not the banner list. Preferably German sounding ones.

The 39% is effectively a Zero reading: It simply indicates your LNB is receiving power from the Receiver.

Have you tried altering the DiSEqC Switch setting yet?

My two penn'th : TV5 Monde France is broadcast only on 5 degrees West (used to be named as Atlantic Bird 3 or AB3) so maybe the references to Astra are throwing us off the scent. It may be worthwhile trying to alter to this satellite (through your receiver menus) and see if it comes back. France Culture is broadcast from 5W as well.

Mainly German means Astra 1.

And the Transponder whose details show in the Antenna Settings you Posted is indeed the one carrying TV5 on Astra 1.
