Aha! A light has flickered: Some boxes do not like adding a "new" Channel if an old version with the same Channel Name is already stored.

So delete any and all Channels called by the name of the desired one, then scan again.

Edit@ Analoguesat - Still got one eye on the ball, and I reckon my latest brainwave could be the answer :D;)

Ok. As an experiment, alter DiSEqC Switch setting to A (or 1) and then to B (or 2) and see if that makes the desired Channel spring to life.
I tried changing DiSEqC Switch setting to A then rescanned and looked and the same for B but France Culture still no signal in both cases.

Overtaken by events ................... see my previous Post (Return Switch setting to None again, if you haven't already).

I recall this has happened to others in the past.

Worth a go and I have a good feeling.

The 39% is effectively a Zero reading: It simply indicates your LNB is receiving power from the Receiver.

Have you tried altering the DiSEqC Switch setting yet?

I did this retuning with both but no positive result.

I tried deleting the radio stations while still on B or 2 and actually have far fewer radio stations (24) none of them France Culture

First five channels listed for TV are
SYFY
ARTE
SYFY
ARTE
TV5MONDE EUR
BBC World

for radio

RADIOS ESP
Radio CH
RAdioCH
RadioCH
CANAL SUR RA
DKULTURE

I have found the TV5Monde France Belgique in my TV list

I have to go to work today so not back till this evening

Thank you for all help

That figures: So as stated above, return the Switch setting to None, then delete all existing stored versions of that Channel before rescanning.

Hopefully that will work!

Yet Another Light

(And I hope it's a bright one, as I'm fast running out of ideas)

The frequency in question (11568)is very close indeed to those known to suffer from interference from DECT phones.

So turn off any cordless phone base-station then see if the Channel bursts into life.

If so, relocate the base-station as a short term solution.

In the longer term, check the cable from the dish to the receiver and eliminate any damage, joints or wall faceplates as these are the weak areas exploited by DECT emissions.

My Satellite Setup
Laminas 1.2M fibre dish with an IBU, on a Clarke Tech USALS motor, covering 57E - 24.5W to an Octagon SX88. Displayed on a 20" Dyon LED TV.

Seperate 80 cm dish on 28E with a Humax Freesat for SWMBO.
Free Sat V8 meter. Sony Bravia 46" LCD, Sony BluRay and Home Cinema.

Sadly I have nothing to add as far as a solution, however there is a data sheet on the Pixx ADT 1200 here :

http://www.sat-receiver-world.com/stopped-a-l/adt-pixx/adt-pixx-adt-1200-2.html

I can't see any mention of a blind scan function (though it does show an auto search for channels and transponders). I'd think it's transponder lists will be woefully out of date. The OP also lists a Humax, which I'd guess she uses for 28E. If so are we dealing with two separate dishes or one dish with a bracket and two lnb's?

Tivu, I think your theory is possibly the most likely cause but if it isn't perhaps we need a little more info about the OP's set up....

Yes. Should have thought of it about 24 hours ago!

Typical effect of DECT interference, scanning in fine yet degradation or total suppression of Audio (and Video, where relevant).

I shall be on tenterhooks now until hilaryanne gets back from work.

Best occupy myself with the washing and ironing!

I just did this so Switch setting at none but it almost immediately returned 0 radio stations and only 13 TV stations.

Now am trying it on an automatic rather than a blind scan - seems to be looking for more stuff.

OK if a DECT phone is a cordless phone - we don't have one as we kept losing them. We have one with a curly cord.

Only one dish. Forgot to look at it in daylight. The remote control declares it is a skyline. No longer have a humax as it stopped working.

Hmm. Ok.

That's a shame!

Maybe next door have one?

It's just that the Radio Channel you want is on a frequency known to be prone to interference from Cordless Phones.

I'm afraid if it isn't that, then I've exhausted my repertoire of suggestions and perhaps we need a fresh look at the issue from one of the other respondents.

OK, we are dealing with one receiver and one dish. Do you only watch and listen to the channels you've mentioned or UK TV as well? If you have UK TV is it through your receiver or with Freeview (your aerial)
