I've just picked this up and was wondering if anyone could take a look at the pics and tell me if its complete?
I'll not be putting this up for a month or two as I'm moving.
What else do I need, It'll be ground mounted on a pole with a DM800. It's missing a suitable pole, lnb and dish positioner, what about an Inverto ultra? Vbox? 3" dia tube?
Just realised there's no photo of the dish... You all know what they look like anyway.

The guy I got this from said it was one of channel M's dishes that they (AV company) removed, not sure how true this is.

You have one of the best motors made. Looks like a Jaeger mount with elevation control. You need a Vbox to control each one but you can get away with just one if you don't need elevation control.

Black Ultra LNB is the one to get for your Channel Master dish as well as 3" pole.

What do you mean if I don't need elevation?

Elevation control is only needed for old inclined satellites which wobble up and down, hence the need for extra adjustments. If you are only going to use it for "normal" satellites, then you don't need it. It's still good to have for fine tuning.

I understand now.

I've got a lot to learn......that's half the reason for getting it.

Can anyone suggest a good quality vbox that compatible with my receiver?

I've seen them from £20-120, @ the top end that's more than I paid for the setup in the photos!

So this'll do the job then? Alsat V-Box 400 GBOX v2000. Once set up, the box will be out of sight I guess, its not gonna win any awards for its looks.

The vbox is ordered and should be here this week.

Now the lnb, do I go for a feed horn and black ultra or just one of the ultras I'm using on my setup @ the moment?
I've managed to source a CM feedhorn and I think it comes with a CM lnb, I'm just double checking this.

I never managed to get better results than using a black ultra without the feedhorn on the CM 1.2m dish. Even with the modified one to fit the feedhorn as black ultras aren't available to purchase to bolt onto it. There's black pro but it's not as good.

Yeah they are I don't use mine much at all to make sure it will last for years.

In the pictures looks like a sat superstore wall mount included too which are heavy duty.

Have I got the EL? I've been to look at it again tonight and the jack is bolted up with the mount and looks to be all one unit, if that makes sense

It was just the feedhorn and £45 for a used one was a bit more than I wanted to pay.

Here's a couple of pics of the dish.....this is how It came, it's quite clean.

In the bottom right of the photo it looks like its missing a bolt to hold the arm on? It's got one on the top right.

Also the bolts to hold the dish to the back plate on the mount are missing!!!! What do I need?

Use m8x60 coach bolts, a2 stainless is best as it wont rust and stain the dish face. you can use nyloc nuts or nut plus spring washer, i think i bought mine from screwfix. Eb*y is a good place to look as well.
