Thanks for your reply.

The dish is a 4 panel much like the SMC but the panels are made from a stamped alum sheet and the formed (rolled) into shape. The outside edge is reversed rolled and is very rigid. The perforated dish resembles another dish manufactured here in the states years ago called Birdview.

I harvested it from the original owners backyard who said he bought is in the early 80's. There are several Channel Master stickers remaining and the plastic (?) center plate bears the Channel Master logo. It was free for the taking.

I could post a picture to your email if you like.

Hi all,

does anyone still have a copy of the channelmaster manual?
I have a 2.4m prime focus channelmaster dish as of today and I would like to have a look at it.
Maybe you can email me or post it here.

Many thanks in advance!

2.4m prime focus channel master dish

Hi all, many thanks for the help.
The link posted by Channel Hopper is what I'm looking for.
Seems like that these CM C-Band prime focus dishes aren't all that common.
I'm glad I saved mine before it went to the tip.
My goal is to use it on 7 - 8 GHz which should be interesting as it's probably made for C-Band.
We'll see how it performs.

Thanks again!

I did the first assembly today.
It went pretty well and because I didn't have any of the original bolts I replaced them with M10 ones instead.
Seems to work just fine.
The string test turned out a lot better than on my 2.4m FortecStar dish but I think there is still room for improvement (gap of 3mm between both strings, if I swap the top one with the lower one they touch).
I'm getting some metal delivered to me this week so I should be able to get it mounted in the not so distant future.
I'll keep this thread updated.

I have a very similar Channel Master but it's only 1.8m - still to try it out!

I also have a 1.8m, but it needs a bit of work as one of the mating surfaces has had a previous repair and is not perfectly flat.

I put it up for the first time today. It's a heavy beast and my mounting brackets also require a bit more work.
I also need to get a high strength M8 screw to hold all the weight of this dish. The one that was on the mount before was a bit lighter.
