Mmmmh odd that, now re scanned, manual entry of 3/4 also appears to be valid works...

Depending on the receiver, it might be using an internal database and synchronising the frequency parameters with a stored list.
This might account for the different FEC?

If the F15 is losing a lock at 7.7dB, that suggests the correct FEC for ESPN is 3/4 rather than 5/6.

If anyone has a DVB card and EBS Pro, give the satelite a scan, it should provide a list of all the parameters.
For EBS Pro v18, it can register some frequencies below a lock level.

I'll do that now MB, my Combo scan just now shows 3/4.
Edit: Attached EBSPro grab for 3979L only.

Based on the scan results kindly provided by @John and @suedschwede it looks like ESPN is currently with FEC of 3/4 needing 7.9dB for a lock.

Oh well, looks like the 2.4m CM might be back on the shopping list

Or a 2.4m Tin Man if there are any available.
Forum member @aceb might still have a 2.4m Tin Man that he might sell, I seem to recall he was thinking of what to do with it at one point?

Doesn't that 'T' plate need to be the full width of the conical scalar? I noticed Nelsons was in some earlier pictures.

These pictures may help you. This is my setup on the LNB changer. One thing, you will have to do is shim off some of the polo pipe to accommodate setting the conical scalar, when supplied there us nowhere near enough shimmed off to adjust the scalar plate. It's taken me weeks of tweaking to get mine just right. Just blindscanned 40W and got 192 TV channels.View attachment 144649View attachment 144650View attachment 144651View attachment 144652

Just replaced cheapie 5g filtering lnb with my tit 5g. Difference of about .5db . Cannot beat 8.2db. so strange. Had 10db in April but with lnb in central position and using rimants arms...Nelson proved he could get 10db on his 1.8. Scopus are you 1.8 ? What's your reading ?
