WoW!! What a catch! Screenshots?
If what you say is true ..and I've no reason to doubt it ....then the info I'm monitoring from n2yo is total bollox ..??Declination at zero, what do you mean?
DirecTV 1R at 55.8º E will cross the Clarke belt 17 Feb at 01:44 and 13:42 UTC.
But IIRC you had doubts about having a clear view.
Then during the evening hours, DirecTV is at its highest elevation, peaking 1.4º above the belt.
I wonder tho' ..same footprint as Directv ..or even tighter ??I am surprised those trash cans are still providing services... So no doubt they want the new bird up an running asap
returned Christina to the correct elevation and will wait for DiecTV 1R to arrive later ..We ..this is the best I've managed so far ....
scan taken whilst she is elevated above the belt ..
Nowhere near enough for lock ..but the only 2 transponders which show anything remotely close are 2 RHCP transponders..
12224 R
and
12282 R
I really wasn't expecting miracles on Christina ...but it's something.
I am well out of footprint ..and using a Cband dish which is little better than a TD110 in Ku ..
AND the circular polarised LNB isn't at the focus ..
