Did you manage to get any SNR dB reading there?

Simply not enough signal CJ ..for the TBS card
But I will keep trying ..apparently daytime may be better ...ie on the belt ..or South of it rather than North..

Currently below the Clarke Belt and descending ..
Rained all day here ..so little chance for improved reception..
..and still no sign of LHCP signals ..but another hump in the trace RHCP ...
Well below lock ..but I keep an open mind and a positive outlook.

..Fwiw signals here are stronger by about 30% when this bird is in the ascendancy ..ie above the clarke belt and rising North ..
Not that this gives sufficient for any kind of lock ...

I tried this bird yesterday at 1.30pm its at its strongest transponder 12384L was around 49%-50% quality and transponder 12443L was 40% quality.

The last signal from Bonum 1 appears to have been switched off according to Flysat, so we may see the old girl heading to graveyard orbit soon.

With over 36100 km altitude, looks like DirecTV 1R is end-of-life.
Bonum 1 is still at 56.1 East.

DirecTV 1R will be at 56°e until the end of 2014. Further plans didn't published.

Well, that's published info is wrong or outdated!

DirecTV 1R is decommissioned and in graveyard orbit.
It's removed from geo.txt of Celestrak, from much correspondence I know he will not remove a satellite from that list when there is the slightest doubt!

Bonum-1 is still around and was shifted slighty to 56.1° East to have Express-AT1 at 56.0° East.

hi all put Ku back on tried 56E with plate in the transponder 12284R was the strongest I locked it at 48% quality three channels.

Wow, that's a hell of catch! Especially from this new satellite there.

thanks CJ I adjusted the lnb to get the best signal the bottom of the lnb is in line with the main bar and further back than it should be but it works for c-band and Ku band

can only get to 53E with Carl ...
and no point in even trying with the TD110...
oh well..

The Irony is that I actually have a DirectTV circular single ku lnb ..
and can't use it atm.

hi martin forgot to say its the ordinary lnb but I put plate in the lnb to give me L/R
