My Satellite Setup
OpenBox X5 on a 1 meter motorized dish.
And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

Custom built PC

I wonder if you could use one of these hummers......https://www.amazon.com/Dish-Network-DishPro-QUAD-LNBF/dp/B001ISAPDU

I don't know if your receiver can handle it.

It can recive two satellites at the spacing your looking at plus it has 4 outputs.

Yes, all outputs to have both satellites signals available; that is why I wish to motorise the dish. The Multiswitch is a GLOBO PMS-5x8. The main reason for the motor is to find a satellite which broadcasts the MotoGP for 2021, as Quest on Freesat does not seem to have this for this year.
MotoGP highlights on ITV4 8pm BST tonight.

I'm not sure if we'll see him/her again at this topic.

That sounded pretty definite.

It doesn't look like there is continuing interest in any follow-up.
But maybe I'm wrong? :confused

It's a shame as in the end all he/she had to do was change the channel :-doh

Humax box, 5/8 Multiswitch, Quattro LNB. I want to motorise the dish, but cannot find connection instructions

Huh?
I described how it can be done.

It might not be the solution for what you want, but motorizing a dish in a multiswitch setup is not really a problem.

So what is the reason that it "is not going to work" for you?

A33.
We spent a fortune on renovationg the house, and running new cables from the ground floor front to the attic opposite corner rear is not possible. The only other way I can see is to fit another LNB on a bracket to the existing doish, and changing to a 9/8 multiswitch

If laying four extra cables between multiswitch and dish for a multifeed setup is no problem,

then I guess one extra cable (instead of four) from multiswitch location to dish location, in the parallel motor setup that I described, would not have been a problem also.

So I think that somehow I don't understand your description of the setup that you have and that you want,
or that you didn't understand what I proposed as setup.
That's a pity. :(

Special care is needed to choose the splitter/tap. A UniTap by Spaun would be a good tap, the best solution I would say. I myself use a simple splitter for a setup like this, but it should have power pass in both directions, or at least in the right direction (but these are rare!).

In the meantime I've received word from someone who tried the UniTap in a setup like this, and the UniTap did not work for his motor!

So now I would advise a splitter like the Spaun VBE 2 P (not the VBE 2 PD, which has diodes in it, in the wrong direction!), or a similar splitter, as a better solution.
